EVOLUTION

The Group's first two institutional initiatives indicate a clear sense of social responsibility and a commitment to the Dominican people. Both of them operate in the framework of non-profit organizations. The first initiative is the Instituto Nacional de Diabetes, Endocrinología y Nutrición (INDEN, the National Institute for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Nutrition), which, over the last three decades has served as refuge for tens of thousands of Dominicans with diabetes, who are underserved and/or in need of medical assistance. The second one is the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE, the Iberian-American University), which has made its contributions to the Dominican society through the training of men and women with high professional profiles.

Grupo Abrisa's latest involvement is based on the business development of key economic sectors. During the 90s, manufacturing and construction fueled the growth of both the economy and the Group, giving way to the coordination and execution of larger, more complex projects. The outsourcing of operations, at the beginning of 2000, in six international airports in the Dominican Republic, as well as their remodeling and construction, resulted in important strategic alliances with renown international firms.

Grupo Abrisa's entry into the tourism sector began with the Cap Cana real estate project, generating large domestic and foreign investments in Dominican territory.

Recently, Grupo Abrisa entered the insurance and media markets. This is how we have evolved, with the goal of fostering and strengthening new projects, leveraging the synergy between our various entities.
